Confidence – we could all use a little bit more of it these days. But how do you become more confident in a way that is empowering to yourself and those around you? What is the right “recipe” for confidence? According to Purple Fox and the Heebie Jeebies, all you need is a little reggae, a little rock, and a whole lotta love.

Confidence vol. 1: the perfect recipe to discover your best self, confidently. This is no easy task; it requires you to spread positive energy and continue to believe in yourself, in spite of whatever may be happening around you. But it’s made easy with songs about breaking the ice, appreciating time with others, and learning to love yourself, each with instantly catchy melodies and explosive energy that makes you wonder how or why you would ever stop dancing.

While still a progressive rock album at heart, Confidence vol. 1 celebrates themes of love and respect over funky grooves and jazzy instrumentation with strong elements of pop, dancehall, and reggae. Each track brings a new ingredient into the mix: “My Hero is Me”, a neo-soul twist of self-confidence; “Sur Fox”, a surf-rock stew infused with playful parent puns; and “I’ve Got a Heart”, a reggae-rock crooner with tasty guitar riffs that is pure ear-candy.
